World Music Award Triple Winner Lorde accepted Awards for Album of the year for 'Pure Heroine' and the Single of the year award for 'Team' last night at the New Zealand Music Awards. Lorde also won the Best Female solo Artist Award, Best Pop Album and best-selling single for 'Royals' and the international achievement award.
Lorde paid tribute to her Mum and Dad in her acceptance speeches and even took her younger brother and sister on stage to share in the glory.
Other winners included David Dallas who took out the awards for Best Male Solo Artist and Best Urban / hip hop Album for 'Falling Into Place'. Stan Walker, star of the upcoming international hip-hop film 'Born To Dance', also claimed the radio airplay award for 'Bulletproof' and the people's choice honour. Brother and sister duo BROODS took home their first-ever Tui for Breakthrough Artist of the Year, while family opera trio Sol3 Mio won the award for highest selling album in New Zealand ahead of Lorde.
